Hardwood Terminal (“we”) provides NCAA Division I basketball ratings and statistics on the web and in our mobile app. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.
What we collect
- Account details — your email address, name, and password (stored only as a secure hash; we never see it).
- Profile details you choose to give us — your role (for example coach, scout, fan) and, optionally, a phone number.
- Preferences — settings such as rating format, theme, default view, language and whether you want a daily report.
- Favorites — players, teams and leagues you mark as yours.
- Account state — when you signed up, your trial and plan status, and when you last used the service.
- Security data — if you turn on two-factor authentication, the enrollment for your authenticator app.
The basketball statistics themselves are public sports data and are the same for every user. We do not track which players or pages you view.
How we use it
To create and secure your account, remember your settings and favorites, send the emails you need (account confirmation, password reset, and a daily report only if you turn it on), and operate your free trial or subscription.
Where it is stored
Account data is stored with Supabase, our database and authentication provider, in the United States. Access to each account’s data is restricted to that account at the database level. The website is hosted by Vercel, whose servers keep standard request logs (such as IP address and browser type) for security and reliability.
Player photos and team logos are loaded directly from ESPN’s image servers, which receive your device’s IP address and browser details when they load. The mobile app keeps a copy of the statistics and your sign-in session on your device so it works offline.
What we don’t do
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with advertisers. We share it only with the service providers above, who process it on our behalf, or when the law requires us to.
Your choices
- You can view and change your profile and preferences in your account settings.
- You can ask us for a copy of your data, or to correct or delete it.
- To delete your account, email support@hardwoodterminal.com from the address on the account. We delete the account and everything linked to it — profile, preferences and favorites — within 30 days.
Children
The service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date above, and tell you in the app or by email if the change is significant.
